5G Network

 Fifth Generation Network Technology

Today’s world is a technological world, where technologies are changing very rapidly. In the field of Mobile communication network, day by day new network technologies are launching, because world is demanding more data speed, and fast network. If we see from starting 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G mobile network technology came. Now after 4G, 5G network is coming. Before talking about the recent developments in the field of 5G network, let’s first discuss what is 5G network?

  Whats is 5G Network?

5G is a next generation cellular technology that will obviously increase the downloading and uploading speeds of internet and will also reduce the latency. Latency is the delay between action and response . When the 5G will be available for use, it will provide download speed of 1Gbps which is approximately 100 times of the current networks download speed. Then surely 5G network will not irritate us with buffer time that we face with current networks.

5G will be available once large quantities of new spectrum will be allocated to 5G particularly in millimetre wave bands, 5G frequency range is between 28 to 100GHz.
In US three companies have taken the task of upgrading 4G to 5G, these are Sprint, T mobile and Verizon. Verizon has already launched 5G services to some cities. US, Japan and South Korea have started in deploying 5G network in their territories.

When the mobile network got upgraded from 3G to 4G, customers had to buy new 4G SIM and also 4G LTE enabled mobile phones because 3G supporting mobile phones could not support the 4G network. Obviously something similar will happen with 5G too.

In India

In India, various mobile operator like airtel, jio and others also started their upgradation of existing 4G LTE Infrastructure for coming 5G network support. Indian Telecom Regulatory Authority of India(TRAI) has taken steps for auction of spectrum band for 5G and regulations regarding it. Most probable in India the launching of 5G will take place in year 2020.
