Samsung delays the release date of Galaxy Fold

A few days back Samsung had come up with its new Smartphone i.e. Samsung Galaxy Fold, Samsung officials had claimed that for this phone they have used technology named as “Infinity Flex Display” that lets us to repeatedly open and close the device without causing any loss to the screen. And Samsung had performed 2,00,000 fold and unfold test in its research labs to check the durability of the phone.

But even after that recent review reports of Samsung Fold says that there are some display issues with the smartphone, the review unit’s screen got malfunctioned after removing the topmost protective layer.

Samsung has spoken up and addressed the issue, they said that “we will thoroughly inspect these unit”. The review unit developed a bulge that appeared to be the result of something in between the screen and hinge, and breaks the screen. According to Samsung the reviewers actually tried to peel off the protective layer present on the smartphone that results into the screen failure. Samsung’s full statement is here:

“A limited number of early Galaxy Fold samples were provide to media for review. We have received a few reports regarding the main display on the sample provided. We will thoroughly inspect these units in person to determine the cause of the matter. Separately, a few reviewers reported having removed the top layer of the display causing damage to the screen. The main display on the Galaxy Fold features a top protective layer, which is part of the display structure designed to protect the screen from unintended scratches. Removing the protective layer or adding adhesives to the main display may cause damage. We will ensure this information is clearly delivered to our customers.”

And now there is a news from Samsung Newsroom that the company has postponed the release date of Galaxy Fold i.e. it will not launch on 26th of April. In the coming weeks company will announce its new date of release.
