This year Apple will open its online store in India: Tim Cook

Apple will launch its online store in India this year. At the same time, the company's first physical store in India will be opened in the year 2021. This information was given by the company's CEO Tim Cook during the annual shareholder meeting held in Cupertino. Tim Cook said that after a long time the Government of India has given a relief of 30 percent in the local sourcing norms of single-brand retail i.e. SBRT. Apple also said last year that they want to provide better service to users both online and offline in India.

During the meeting, Tim Cook stated that he did not want anyone else to run his own brand for them. If we talk about the present times, then only the third party Apple Store or other online stores, the phones are purchased. Currently, we are not that dominant in the retail market. In such a situation, the company wants to do everything in its own way. At the moment, the company cannot tell what it is trying to see in the Apple Store to be launched in India.

Apart from the Apple Store, the company is also planning to open India's first Apple Physical Store. This physical Indian store can be opened in Mumbai. Along with this, there are some reports that after Mumbai, the company can open its own physical Indian store in New Delhi. According to a Bloomberg report, the company considered Coronavirus a challenge for Apple. The company has to temporarily close its stores in China for this.

The company said in a press statement that we thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he has made it easy. Soon people will be able to visit Apple's first retail store in India. For this, it will take some time and its date will be announced soon.
