Indian users of Facebook got profile lock feature, feature was rolled out keeping in mind the safety of women

Facebook has launched a new safety feature for Indian users. With the help of this feature, users can lock their profile. By doing this, those who are not in your friend list will not be able to zoom in the profile photo of the users, share it nor will they be able to download the full size cover or profile photo. The company says that from next week, Indian users will be able to use this feature.

Facebook product manager Roxena Irani said the feature profile was brought after the picture guard was successful and received feedback from users. Irani has said, 'We are committed to providing safe platforms for people to express themselves. People of India, especially women users were nervous that their photos could be downloaded and shared. So today we are announcing a feature that will help people ensure their privacy and stay safe and secure online.'

Go to your profile in Facebook app, there will be three dots near the name to tap there. The option of Lock Profile will appear in the list of profile settings. Tap and confirm the lock profile. Let us tell you that Facebook had earlier launched the Profile Picture Guard feature. Through this feature, you can protect your profile photo. With this feature activated, other Facebook users will not be able to download your profile photo or share it anywhere.
